Battles of the Middle Ages is an easy to learn wargaming system that tries to recreate, in a gaming situation, several of the most famous (or not so famous) battles of the medieval World, from the end of the Dark Ages to the dawning of Renaissance. These games are designed to be fast and furious, easy to learn and to play but with enough chrome and historical research to make them fun to play and more.
The battle of Arsuf is one of the most peculiar battles of the Crusade period. It's part of the campaign of the Third Crusade and a important tactical victory for Richard I Lionheart against one of the most famous Saracen leaders of all time, Saladin (who has crushed the Crusaders 4 years before in the battle of Hattin), but almost insignificant in a strategic contest, as the Crusaders were later unable to obtain Jerusalem.
